Best (groceries) for under $5

Dollar stores are amazing. Though not everything is really a dollar (still working on that class-action suit), everything is really cheap as you know. They have more food now, even some frozen food like ice cream and TV dinners.

At the store I went to yesterday, they had clothes for children and plus size women. They have summer stuff like coolers, cups, charcoal, pool toys, everything. I’m not shopping at HEB anymore. And if I need clothes I’m just going to have to gain a lot of weight.

Watch out for the brand names though. At a dollar store in Arlington I found what really looked like Sharpies but they were Shoupies and you could just barely tell. There’s a dollar general right next to work so I’ll try to find the Shoupies tomorrow.

Earth Day!

Well it’s that time again kids, Earth Day. The hippie’s holiday located conveniently close to 4/20. Coincidence? You have the rest of your life in Austin to ponder that question. Let’s move on.

Today HEB will give you a free tote bag when you bring in 5 plastic bags to the store. Thanks to my lovely roommate for communicating this to our apartment via message board drawings. A picture will come later, when I actually have 2 more free seconds in my day to take it.
