Moms love go-karts

May 10, 2008

After a year of running after kids, serving as a personal chauffeur, changing diapers and working, what mother doesn’t love a relaxing round of mini golf or go-karts with her kids as well as hundreds of others? Austin’s Park is offering free admission for moms tomorrow with the purchase of another admission. (Would moms really go there by themselves anyway? Maybe.)

I’m not sure if this is on the all day super action packed 21.95 day pass that gets you into everything, or just theĀ  5.95 video games and food admission, but if you’re an adventurous mom, I guess it’s still a free admission. The place is on I-35 in North Austin, exit 248.

For a more relaxing and cheap mother’s day activity, take her to the Zilker Park Hillside Theater (right by Barton Springs Pool) to listen to the Austin Symphonic Band. It’s free, outdoors and makes you feel classy.
